MBA student found dead

TIRUPUR: A first year MBA student of a private college, near Avanashi,

Rajesh Gokulavasan (23), was found hanging from a ceiling fan, at his hostel room on Wednesday.

The police said that a case of death under suspicious circumstances has been registered based on a complaint from his parents. His parents alleged that ragging could also be one of the reasons for his death.

The police said that they have recovered a suicide note written by Gokulavasan, a son of noon-meal organiser in Thanjavur district, saying that nobody was responsible for his death. His body was handed over to his parents after a post-mortem examination on Thursday.

Avanashi Deputy Superintendent of Police K.S. Subramanian said that investigations showed that no ragging had taken place in the college.

Asserting that it was case of suicide, he said that the post-mortem examination too established this fact.
