CHENNAI: Fiftyone law students have sought anticipatory bail from a sessions court here, apprehending arrest in connection with the alleged assault of four police personnel by law college students on Wednesday.
The Kilpauk police registered a case on Wednesday, alleging that a group of students from the law college hostel on Millers Road in Purasawalkam had assaulted a police team, injuring four personnel including an Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Apprehending arrest in connection with the case, Ilayaraja, Srinivsan and Prakash and 48 others have filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Principal District and Sessions Court here.
