CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu women’s team won the overall trophy in rifle shooting as well as the overall trophy in the first all-India Police shooting meet held at Indore recently. Tamil Nadu finished with 47 points in the meet conducted by the Border Security Force. The Commissioner of Police, G. Nanchil Kumaran, congratulated the shooters. The medallists: K. Shyamala (gold in 300m big bore prone event); K. Bharathi (gold in 300m big bore); M. Suchitra Devi (silver in 50m prone); N. Hemalatha (silver in 300m big bore prone); S. Devagi (silver in 300m big bore prone); T. Sumithra (bronze in 300m big bore prone) and U. Leela (bronze in 50m prone).
