CIAL to set up IT park

KOCHI: Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) will set up a 40-million sq.ft. Information Technology Park as a Special Economic Zone to make Kerala a IT destination in line with the State government’s policy, Shriram Bharath, Managing Director of CIAL, said on Friday. He was talking after inaugurating a two-day conference of information security and audit professionals organised by the Cochin Chapter of Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Stating that the CIAL was planning to build an airport city at Nedumbassery, he said Kerala should focus on IT, Business Process Services and tourism rather than on manufacturing. The seminar will be followed by a workshop on ISO 27001. Those interested may contact by phone: 098471-03300.
