ERODE: A regional level review meeting of the Social Security Scheme was held in Erode on Friday. Revenue Minister I. Periyasamy conducted the review in which the Collectors of Erode, Namakkal, Coimbatore, Udagamandalam and Karur - T. Udhaychandran, G. Sundaramurthy, Neeraj Mittal, Santosh K. Misra and G.N. Venkatesan - participated. Handlooms and Textiles Minister N.K.K.P. Raja, Highways and Ports Minister M.P. Saminathan and local MLAs were also present.

The Minister expressed satisfaction on the effective implementation of the scheme in the districts. He said the Government was considering the plight of the agricultural labourers and their welfare.
