6 hurt as petrol tanker catches fire

MALAPPURAM: A tanker lorry carrying petrol caught fire after it collided with a trailer truck at Moochikkal, near Randathani, on the National Highway-17 early on Friday. Six persons travelling in the vehicles were injured in the accident. Traffic on the highway was disrupted for a few hours. The tanker was heading towards Changaramkulam from Mangalore. The trailer truck was carrying tiles from Ernakulam to Edavanna. The vehicles collided at 3.30 a.m. — Staff Reporter
