Three cops booked for car hijack

Muzaffarnagar: Three policemen including a sub-inspector were booked for hijacking a vehicle, on a court directive.

The three had allegedly beaten up a Tata motors financier, Yogendra Singh and drove away with his vehicle in April 2007, police said.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramu Rao had directed the Kotwali police here to register a case against the accused after the victim complained that no action was taken on his complaint.

In another incident, a trader was reportedly abducted by unidentified armed assailants from Shamli town
