Online facility now for booking parks, halls

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The chairman of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi garden committee, Ved Prakash Gupta, on Friday said the civic body had evolved a system for booking parks and community halls for organising marriages and other social functions.

The system will check manipulations in booking of municipal parks and bookings will be done through Internet. Confirmation will be authenticated only when the party concerned submits the requisite documents within 24 hours of the booking.

The relevant documents along with a recommendation from the area councillor have to be submitted to the Zonal Citizen Service Bureau within the stipulated time failing which the booking would stand cancelled.

Mr. Gupta said a waiting list for reservations of parks would also be maintained.

According to Mr. Gupta, the following documents would be required for booking: a written application, an affidavit in prescribed format, proof of residential address, photograph of boy or girl in case of marriage.
