KOCHI: Cochin Shipyard has added another feather in its cap with the launching of two new vessels. A bulk carrier and a ‘platform supply vessel,’ constructed for foreign establishments, were launched by Ajoy Chatterjee, Chief Surveyor with Government of India-cum-Additional Director General of Shipping (Engineering), at a function held at the shipyard on Friday. The bulk carrier was named Clipper Tenacious at the function. The sixth in the series of vessels built for Clipper Group, Denmark, its construction was completed ahead of schedule. The ship can carry gross tonnage of 19,918 and has a grain holding capacity of 40,000 cubic metre.
