Industrial production up 10.7 p.c.

NEW DELHI: Continued buoyancy in manufacturing coupled with better performance of power and mining sectors pushed up the industrial production to 10.7 per cent in August from 10.3 per cent in the corresponding period last year. The cumulative industrial growth during the first five months of the current fiscal, however, slipped to 9.8 per cent from 11 per cent recorded during the year-ago period.
