Vilas slams century

PALAKKAD: Vilas N. Kutty scored a fine century (109 off 272 balls, 17x4, 1x6) as North Zone made 249 for eight on the opening day of its three-dayer against South in the Jacob Trophy Kerala State senior inter-zone cricket championship at the Fort Ground here on Friday.

The South Zone bowlers Sony Cheruvathur, K.J. Rakesh and Santosh Karunakaran picked two wickets each.
