Mercurial triumphs

MYSORE: Mercurial (Vivek up), won the Chief Minister’s Gold Cup (1,200 m), the main event of the races held here on Friday (Oct. 12). The winner is the joint property of M/s. Sharath M. Narayana, Rajesh Baliga, Girish Baliga and Subash Baliga. Lokanath trains the winner.

Note: Originally Whisper Valley won the race. But the order of placing was revised by the Stewards as they upheld an objection raised by S. Ramesh (Gampu) against I. Chisty (Whisper Valley) for taking him out from 300m and bumping him at the 250m and whipping his horse face at 150m.
