Ernie Els. NEW DELHI: South African golfing great Ernie Els has confirmed his participation in the inaugural Emaar-MGF Indian Masters golf championship at the Delhi Golf Club in February 2008. “It’s a journey that is an absolute must for me on my list of places to play competitively around the world. “To be a part of the inaugural Emaar-MGF Indian Masters is very special,” said Els in a statement here on Friday. “It’s part of our responsibility as the world’s best players to take the game forward internationally in a way that promotes participation,” he added. The European Tour Executive Director, George O’Grady, said that a few others like Thomas Bjorn, Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie and Jeev Milkha Singh are likely to sign up for the Indians Masters in the near future.
