‘Dreaded’ criminal arrested

NEW DELHI: A 45-year-old man described by the police as a dreaded criminal involved in several cases of murder, attempt to murder and dacoity has been arrested at ISBT near Kashmere Gate.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Crime Branch of the Delhi police laid a trap near ISBT on Thursday afternoon and arrested Gopal Singh. He had escaped from the custody of the Rajasthan police in 1994 while being transferred to Central Jail in Ajmer.
