VIJAYAWADA: A 36-year-old woman died on the spot when a city service bus of the APSRTC hit the motorcycle on which she was a pillion rider on Friday. The accident occurred on Disney Land road in Payakapuram and the victim was identified as Aavula Indira, wife of Srinivasa Rao. The accident occurred in the early morning when the couple was going towards Gandhi Nagar from their house in Vambay Colony. A city bus coming in the opposite direction hit the motorcycle, killing Indira on the spot. Rao escaped with injuries. The Payakapuram police registered a case.
