HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad police announced restrictions on the movement of traffic at some points from October 14 to 21 from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. in connection with the Fourth Military World Games to be held at Gachibowli stadium. Vehicles going towards Gachibowli would be stopped at Nallagandla and Gopanpally ‘thanda’ junctions and would be diverted towards BHEL, Ramchandrapuram or Khanapur. At Nanalnagar, the vehicles would be diverted towards Rethibowli. Vehicle flowOn the days of inaugural and concluding ceremonies of the Games on October 14 and 21 respectively, the flow of vehicles would be made uni-directional on some routes. Traffic movement would be one-way from Gachibowli to Hyderabad Central University and from Gachibowli junction to Gachibowli stadium (SAAP stadium) side. No traffic would be allowed from Hyderabad Central University to Gachibowli junction from noon to 6 p.m. on these two days. From Gachibowli stadium (SAAP stadium) to Gachibowli junction, vehicles would travel in one-way. No traffic would be allowed from Gachibowli junction to Gachibowli stadium from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. during these two days. From noon to 11 p.m., vehicles would not be allowed from Serilingampally Arch (Masjeedbanda). They would be diverted either towards Majeedbanda-Botanical Garden side or Nallagandla. General traffic towards Gachibowli stadium would not be allowed from Gachibowli ‘Y’ junction and diverted either towards Mehdipatnam or Kothaguda side. Vehicles proceeding to Nallagandla or BHEL can take the road via Botanical Garden, Masjeedbanda and Serilingampally municipal office. Traffic would be stopped from 7 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Sunday on Gachibowli- Begumpet airport route via Madhapur, Jubilee Hills check-post, NFCL rotary, KCP, Raj Bhavan road and Greenlands in view of President of India’s visit to city to inaugurate the Games.
