VIJAYAWADA: Members of the Andhra Pradesh ’98 DSC Qualified Teachers (Vidya Volunteers) Welfare Association in Krishna district have decided to meet Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who is scheduled to visit the city on Saturday, and urge him to look into their problems. In a meeting, first of its kind organised at the district-level, the association leaders pointed out that the Government had decided to improve the plight of vidya volunteers by upgrading their posts into that of special teachers and enhancing their monthly salaries to Rs. 5,000.
