Puja performed at ‘Sirimaanu’

VIZIANAGARAM: Former chief priest of Sri Pydimamba temple B. Bairagi Naidu, and the temple Executive Officer P.V. Subba Lakshmi performed puja at the 55-f-oot-tall tree at Geddapeta.

Amid chanting of hymns and ’dappu’ the tree was cut and it was being carted to the priest’s house in Hukumpeta where it would be shaped into a post and readied for the ’Sirimaanotsavam’ on October 23.
