Muzaffarnagar: With three fresh cases of polio coming to light in the district, the number of such cases has gone up to 31 -- highest in Uttar Pradesh, official said on Saturday. Chief Medical Officer Pradip Jain said these cases of polio were reported from Baghra and Khatoli villages and Kandhla town in the district. With these cases, the number of the polio-affected children has reached 31, which is highest for any district in the State this year, followed by adjacent Meerut with 28 reported cases of polio, the Chief Medical Officer added.
