COIMBATORE: War widows, disabled ex-servicemen and their dependents can avail of the assistance from the Directorate General Re-settlement for procuring tipper trucks.
Widows and dependents, of those personnel who died in service, and are receiving pension, those whose family pension is Rs. 12,000, Defence personnel who had to leave service due to injury or medical reasons, widows who received a pension of less than Rs. 4,000 and those ex-servicemen who have disabled children, are eligible to apply for the assistance.
Those interested can apply along with a deposit of Rs. 85,000. Those who procure the truck with this assistance will be paid an amount of Rs. 3,000 per month for five years.
