Prominent industrialist T. Gundan was given award for lifetime achievement
HONOURED: Awardees with the functionaries of Lions Clubs International in Udhagamandalam on Friday.
Udhagamandalam: Members of the International Association of Lions Clubs (District 324-B1) on Friday put their service activities on the back burner and took time off to recognise a few persons who had made a name for themselves in various fields.
At a glittering function organised here functionaries of the service body including its District Governor A. Selvaraj and District Chairman N. Krishnamurti gave away awards and citations to the outstanding citizens.
Heading the list of persons recognised was prominent industrialist T. Gundan who was given the award for lifetime achievement. Veteran advocate N. Krishnappa was given the outstanding senior citizen award.
Those who received the awards for vocational excellence were Padmanabhan Kishore, Managing Director, Everonn Systems, Chennai, Ashokan Muthuswamy, Managing Director, Ambal Autos, Coimbatore and J.Ravi,Managing Director, Hotel Heritage Inn, Coimbatore.
Among those who felicitated the awardees were senior advocate N. Krishnamoorthy, the Vice Chairman, Lions Multiple District 324 L. Vijayaraj and the Vice District Governor A. Ashok Shanmugasundaram.
