Mons Joseph to be sworn in on October 18

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Congress (J) nominee Mons Joseph will assume office as Minister for Public Works on October 18.

Governor R.L. Bhatia will administer him the oath of office and secrecy at a function to be held at 4.30 p.m. at Raj Bhavan.

A meeting of the Kerala Congress (J) held in Kochi on Friday had nominated Mr. Mons Joseph for the ministerial berth. Party chairman P.J. Joseph conveyed the decision to Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday. Arrangements for the swearing-in were initiated subsequently. Mr. Mons Joseph is a general secretary of the Kerala Congress State Committee.
