Finance firm opens office in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: Union Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal on Saturday inaugurated the office of Global Trade Finance Ltd (GTF), one of the leading providers of export-import trade finance solutions, in Sector 8 here.

He said GTF, being a non-banking finance company, offered a viable alternative to bank finance for small and medium enterprises based in and around Chandigarh.

Later talking to media persons, GTF Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Arvind Sonmale said Chandigarh was the first office to be opened in the Phase I roll out of the satellite offices and also the eighth office in the country. GTF has offices presently in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. More offices would be opened in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Moradabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Indore, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Hubli, Puduchery, Coimbatore and Kochi, he added.
