Contempt notice to Registrar
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court has ordered issue of notices to the Registrar of Mangalore University on a contempt petition filed by a college.
A Division Bench comprising Manjula Chellur and A.S. Pachhapure, judges, ordered for issue of notices to the Registrar on a petition by Srinivasa College. The college said although a single judge had allowed its petition and directed the university to grant affiliation to it, the university had failed to execute the same. The university had also failed to approve the admission list of MBA students from the college. These acts, the college said amounted to contempt of court.
The Bench ordered issue of notices and adjourned the case for further hearing.
