VIJAYAWADA: Badri Venkateswara Rao, 45, against whom the Two-Town police opened a history sheet, was hacked to death at his house in Kotturu Tadepalli on Saturday. A friend of the deceased, Sukhabodhi Nagaraju, also a history-sheeter, surrendered to the police and told them that he killed Venkateswara Rao “in a fit of anger.” The police said that Rao and Nagaraju were accused in theft cases and both of them served prison sentences together several times. The railway police recently arrested Nagaraju’s son Vinod, 18, on theft charge. The police said that for the last couple of weeks, Nagaraju began to suspect Rao of informing the railway police about the movements of Vinod.
