Grant for language laboratories

CHENNAI: A sum of Rs.2.4 crore has been set apart from the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme for setting up language laboratories in 32 government high and higher secondary schools located in six assembly segments of the South Chennai parliamentary constituency.

An order to this effect was presented on Saturday by Union Shipping Minister T. R. Baalu, who represents South Chennai in Lok Sabha, to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. — Special Correspondent
