Bomb scare in Jalandhar

JALANDHAR: A bomb hoax created panic in the busy Bhagat Singh Chowk area of the city on Saturday.

Panic spread as an anonymous caller infomed the police that a bag carrying a live bomb was lying near Bhagat Singh Chowk, police said.

The cops swung into action and cordoned off the area where a bag was found lying abandoned. However, when it was searched no explosive was found in it, police said. PTI
