The winning band will get a prize of Rs. 75,000 It will perform alongside an international artiste MANGALORE: Hero Honda Motorola Campus Rock Idols, an inter-collegiate rock music competition, is all set for its fourth edition. This year, the regional rounds in Karnataka will be held at Manipal on November 17 and at Bangalore, a press release said. The competition held in association with Reliance, Levis & VH1 will be held across 10 cities in India over a period of two months. It will commence with the regional events at Jaipur and Hyderabad on October 27 and culminate with a grand finale in Delhi on December 2. The other regional events will be held in Chandigarh, Shillong, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune and Delhi respectively. The South zone comprises Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Manipal, while the West zone encompasses Pune and Ahmedabad. Jaipur, Delhi and Chandigarh form the cities in the North Zone and in the East Zone, the event will be organised in Kolkata and Shillong. The top two bands from each city in the respective zones will compete in the zonal finals. The South zone finals will be held in Manipal, Shantala Football grounds. The zonal finals for the other zones will be held at Kolkata, Pune and Delhi, according to the press release. The top two bands from each zone will compete in the grand finals. The winning band gets a prize of Rs. 75,000, the first runner-up will get Rs. 50,000 and the second runner-up will get Rs. 25,000 as prize money. This year’s winners will get an opportunity to perform alongside an international rock artiste, promoted by DNA Networks.
