Bangalore: To overcome the shortage of pre-university college lecturers in the newly started Government pre-university colleges, the authorities have decided to appoint retired pre-university teachers as “guest lecturers” and they would be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5,000. Pre-university teachers who have served in the Government, aided and unaided colleges are eligible for appointment as guest lecturers. Further details on these appointments could be had from the Deputy Directors of Pre-University Education in the districts, according to a press release here on Sunday. — Special Correspondent
