The Congress has thrown in the towel and signalled its readiness to put the nuclear deal on the backburner to save the government. The deal was finalised after long and assiduous negotiations with the U.S. to rescue India from nuclear isolation. It is not just the Prime Minister but the entire country, with very few exceptions, that is thoroughly disappointed. A.V. Srinivasan & A.S.
