Snap poll inevitable, says Advani

Ghaziabad: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani on Sunday said mid-term elections were inevitable and could be held anytime in the country.

The Manmohan Singh government was on dialysis and could meet its end any day in view of the Left-UPA standoff over the India-U.S. nuclear deal, he said.

“The election can take place in the country anytime,” Mr. Advani said after inaugurating a cancer charitable hospital at Duhai, some 10 km from here.

Attacking the Prime Minister, he said he was following the directions of the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi directly or indirectly.
