Irresistible: Visitors going around the stalls at The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. — VISAKHAPATNAM: The mood was electrifying as thousands descended down on the AU Engineering Grounds for The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show 2007 on Sunday. “This is one of the best events I have been to, it is much better than the usual exhibitions that are organised in the city,” a visitor who had come to the show in Visakhapatnam said. The participants who had put up their stalls at the venue were soon enveloped by a crowd of more than 10,000 people who made the most of the enticing range of offers and wide range of items on offer at the mega show. It was the furniture section that drew heavy crowd after the show opened, for the section had a variety of seating and sleeping solutions for the modern home, mixing utilitarian needs with trendy looks that are much the rage these days. The lifestyle show came as a great boon to us. It has an excellent range of home furnishings,” said Deepa, a visitor. It was not just home furnishings that were a big hit among the crowd that had turned up to have a look at the products on display. People also made a beeline to the stall with a range of home security systems like burglary alarms. For the ladies who had turned up, there were enough options to explore. The glittering range things like jewellery, sarees and dress materials at Nalli and the Punjabi dress materials stall at the end of the first hanger kept them busy. College goers found ample of trendy stuff to add a distinctive style to their attire at the stall of ‘I Cross Kreation’ from Hyderabad. Right from elegant and classy jewellery to fashionable clips and hair bands, the stall had a good range of cool and stylish items with a ‘buy one get one free’ offer on earrings.
