KADAPA: Tragedy struck a family belonging to Mahabubnagar district which was on a pilgrimage to Tirumala when their vehicle collided with a lorry near Nanapalle on the Kadapa bypass road on Sunday, according to Chinna Chowk police.
Other passengers, all close relatives of the victims, suffered head injuries and fractures and were admitted to RIMS Hospital here.
The deceased as well as those injured belonged to Narsappaguda village in Kothur mandal in Mahabubnagar district. They would have reached Tirumala in about three hours, but for the mishap. Chinna Chowk sub-inspector Vijayabhaskar Goud registered a case.
