Corrections and clarifications

A report “Haryana to clash with Jharkhand” (“Sport”, October 10, 2007) said that Rani Devi scored her first goal in the 13th minute, while the scorers list in the result column credited both Ritu Rani and Rani Devi with 39th minute goals. There was no mention of the 13th minute goal by Rani Devi. It was an error. The result column should have credited Rani Devi for the goal. (The report was on the 37th women’s junior National hockey championship at the Railway Stadium at Gwalior.)

A report “A day of fluctuating fortunes” (“Sport”, October 10, 2007) said that Boucher hit Dinesh Kaneria for six to reach 50. It was an error. Mark Boucher hooked Umar Gul for a six to reach his half-century. Boucher was out to Kaneria.
