Man charged with killing mother

An infuriated son allegedly killed his mother here on Monday evening, after the latter refused to give him money. The incident took place at Patchavari Street in Kothapet, Guntur.

According to the police, Yenumala Chandravati (56) was brutally done to death by her son Ramesh after she refused to give him money. The accused was married two years ago and divorced his wife. Since then, he had not been in a sound mental state.

On Monday, the accused barged into the house and picked up a quarrel with his mother demanding her money, and hit her against wall.
