Time for Puja, pandals
It is the next best thing to going home for the Puja celebrations. For the Bengali community settled in Kochi, the Puja this week will be marked by a lot of bonhomie and nostalgia.
The Keral Banga Samskriti Sangha (KBSS) has drawn up programmes to celebrate (for the 40th year) Durga Puja, Laxmi Puja and Shyama Puja, says Nibit Purkayashtha, president of the association, here.
The worship of ‘Maa Durga’ is an occasion to unveil the rich heritage of Bengal to the people of God’s Own Country, he says.
The festivities will start on Wednesday at Ravindra Bhawan, Sidco Road, (Maveli road), Gandhi Nagar. For details, call 98460 43704.
