Vatal to convene meeting of MLAs

Bangalore: The Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha will convene a meeting here on October 25 of like-minded MLAs who are against mid-term elections as well as the imposition of President’s Rule in the State.

Party president Vatal Nagaraj, MLA, told presspersons here on Tuesday that the meeting would explore the possibility of these like-minded MLAs forming a government. Although the major parties were for mid-term elections, a majority of the MLAs were not.

His party would hold a ‘tamate’ demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan on Friday in protest against the imposition of President’s Rule, Mr. Nagaraj said. — Special Correspondent
