Governor discusses security measures
BANGALORE: Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Tuesday held an hour-long meeting with Director-General and Inspector-General of Police K. R. Srinivasan to discuss the law and order situation.
Mr. Srinivasan, who emerged from the meeting along with Inspector-General of Police (Intelligence) Kishore Chandra, told presspersons that the security arrangements made for the Dasara celebrations in Mysore and the Deepavali festival were also discussed. The Governor also wanted steps taken to maintain law and order at the Bababudangiri shrine in Chikmagalur district where Datta Jayanti celebrations would be held in December, he said.
