Probe sought into ‘human sacrifice’

BANGALORE: The Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti has urged the State Government to order a thorough investigation and initiate action against those who reportedly sacrificed a boy at Hullur village in Ron taluk of Gadag district recently.

Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, State samiti vice-president E. Basavaraju and Karnataka Rajya Banamati Virodi Samiti president B.S. Soppin claimed that the boy was ‘sacrificed’ in July, and Mahantesha Poojar, an accused in the case, had been arrested. Mr. Basavaraju urged the Government to ensure that such incidents do not recur. They demanded the constitution of State- and district-level committees to prevent such incidents.
