KSSP to appeal against verdict

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Sastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) proposes to go on appeal before the High Court against the recent order of the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate dismissing its defamation case against Paadam magazine. At a press conference here on Tuesday, KSSP president T.P. Kunhikkannan and general secretary C.M. Muralidharan said that KSSP was aggrieved that the Chief Judicial Magistrate had not objectively evaluated the actual evidences in the case.

“The court had accepted that the articles published by Paadam magazine were defamatory to the KSSP,” they said. — Special Correspondent
