Apeejay group, Bharati Shipyard ink pact

KOLKATA: Bharati Shipyard and Apeejay Shipping on Tuesday announced that they have entered into a 50:50 joint venture for building a shipyard along India’s east coast. The exact location is expected to be announced shortly as the process of finalisation of the site was now on. The proposed joint venture is expected to commence operations on setting up a large and modern ship-building yard by 2009, company sources said. — Special Correspondent
