Teachers’ plea

The Andhra Pradesh Teachers’ Federation at its State council meeting held on Tuesday asked the State government to withdraw its proposal to open rural residential public schools, as it would pave way for privatisation of the primary schools.

Federation president K. Venugopal and general secretary Sheik Jani also wanted the government to speed up the process for implementing the uniform service rules.
