Man found dead

CHENNAI: A 55-year-old man was found dead in Pulianthope on Tuesday.

Police said Raju of Sivaganga district, a cook living in Kannigapuram in Pulianthope, was found dead behind the police quarters. Preliminary inquiries revealed that some persons had stoned Raju to death as his head and face were badly injured. A few cement slabs and some liquor bottles were recovered from the scene of crime.

The police have registered a case.

Further investigation is on.
