Life sentence awarded

PERAMBALUR: The Mahila Court here on Tuesday awarded life sentence to a man in a murder case. The Court also imposed a fine of Rs.1,000 and, in default, five months’ imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, Devaraj (36) of Brahmmadesam village near Veppanthattai murdered Thangaraj (45) in May 2006. Based on a complaint by Thangaraj’s mother, Alamelu, the Mangalamedu police arrested Devaraj.
