Letters to the Editor
Many readers, alluding to their childhood musing on editorials, have accused The Hindu of biased news coverage and ideological left-leaning in recent years (Online and Off line, Oct. 15). Much of this negative criticism is plainly naïve and perhaps unjustified. Let us not forget that contemporary issues are far more complex than the usual left-right dichotomy. In my opinion, this newspaper has been consistently factual and accurate. Contrary to alleged prejudices and biases, The Hindu has maintained its integrity and reporting standard well above the rest. Moreover, its editors have done exceedingly well to counter the hackneyed stuff spewed regularly by major television channels and print media. Ravinder Kumar Banyal, Boston
