ADILABAD: There was some tension at the Sirpur Paper Mills (SPM) at Kagaznagar on Wednesday even as production remained suspended for the fifth day after the recognised trade union, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) disagreed with the management over its offer of bonus to the worker.
According to information, the BMS did not accept the management’s offer of Rs. 6,900 as bonus. It stuck to its demand for giving Rs. 7,500 as bonus to the workers.
Some of the employees wanted to report to duty and they were obstructed by the BMS functionaries. Police locked the main gate preventing the agitating workers from entering the factory.
