Sanjeevan shines

A quick-fire unbeaten century by the left-handed Sanjeevan steered Jain Combines to a seven-wicket win over Blue Bird in the KDCA Seshadri memorial cricket tournament at QMC Medavakkam. Sanjeevan had earlier taken four wickets.

Blue Bird 160 for nine in 40 overs (R. Mahalingam 46, P. Vasanth 40, B. Sanjeevan four for 20) lost to Jain Combines 163 for three in 16.2 overs (B. Sanjeevan 106 n.o.).

Easy for Young Wing

Young Wing HC beat Chennai Telephones 3-0 in a Chennai Hockey Association first division league match held on Tuesday at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium.

Madan Singh, Suresh and Selvamohan were the scorers.
