Colonel, wife killed

NEW DELHI: A 54-year-old Army colonel and his wife were killed when a leaking cooking gas cylinder caught fire at their Defence Colony residence here.

The police received a call about the fire around 8 p.m. Colonel Ramesh Bakshi and his 48-year-old wife Mangala were rushed to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Mangala succumbed to her burns later at night.
