JD(S)-Congress alliance condemned

Staff Correspondent

BIDAR: The former BJP MLA, Gundappa Vakil, on Thursday condemned the alliance between Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress for sharing power in the zilla panchayat here.

Addressing presspersons here, he said accused the Janata Dal (S) of “betraying” the Bharatiya Janata Party by not handing over power to it in the panchayat. He accused Janata Dal (S) of not honouring the agreement reached by the two parties for power sharing in the panchayat. Only to retain the post of president, the Janata Dal (S) had joined hands with the Congress, he said. He charged that the former district in-charge Minister Bandeppa Kashempur had failed to take-up development works. He appealed people to teach a fitting lesson to Janata Dal (S) in the next election.
