Yuva LJS activists stage stir

PUDUCHERRY: Activists of the Yuva Lok Jan Shakti staged a demonstration near the Assembly here on Thursday demanding implementation of Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme in all the States.

Led by Puducherry unit president M.T.Umasudhan, the activists raised slogans in support of demands such as making right to work the fundamental right of the people, implementing reservation for the Dalits, the Backward Classes and the Most Backward Classes in the private sector and training rural youth in agro-industries.

The organisation urged the Central government to implement the Sachar Committee’s recommendations and make efforts to promote the welfare of the poorer sections among the forward communities.
